I wanted everyone to see Ryan's family, too. He is in a family with 4 brothers-Jody, Michael, Matthew, (then Ryan), and Ben. Jody's in Oklahoma (Go Sooners!), Micheal's in Dallas with several very successful restaurants. We have the link to them posted on the side of our blog (Fuse and Scene). Matthew and Tabitha live in Dallas with their daughter, Abigail, and Ben lives in Lubbock with Nana Lynn and Grand Daddy Bratcher while he finishes school at Texas Tech.
Ryan works at CHRobinson, Worldwide in Plano. He's been there for over 5 years now and is doing very well. We are very proud of him!
Nana Lynn is a teacher in Lubbock, Texas, and Grand Daddy Bratcher is the owner of National Scouting Report for West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.

Birmingham Visit in October

Noah and Gracie's first trip together to the Pumpkin Patch at St. Mark's in Birmingham.

My Grandmom and Noah

We had a wonderful time in Birmingham recently. We were there for a three day weekend and were so glad that Ryan got to come, too. We visited with my Grandmom on Saturday, and totally monopolized Jason, Sarah, and Gracie's weekend! We loved spending time with them as well as Mom and Dad. Dad is still hobbling around on crutches after his bike accident. During our visit he was not able to bend his leg or put any weight on it. Now he is able to bend it up to 30 degrees-a small allowance for someone as active as he is. We still got some great pictures of Noah sitting in his lap. Mom is doing well and is super-Gran these days (as well as nurse to Dad). Noah loved "tasting" all of the toys she had readily available. He is sitting up really well, and wanting to crawl a little bit. I'm including pictures from that weekend, as well as some more recent ones. One of these days I'm going to be better about updating more quickly. I know Sarah and Holly would love that! =) I'm trying!! =)
School has been super busy in October, and will hopefully slow to a more steady pace until the Christmas vacation.
Ryan has just finished his last trip to Minneapolis for the Key Account Sales Program with CHRobinson. He graduated from the program last week and we are so proud of him. He was invited to give a presentation recently in front of a large audience recently at an InTex meeting (InTex is a coalition of branches of CHR). He had a really great presentation, and some great points for customer satisfaction. He called them the 5 Key Attributes to Character when dealing with Customers. They are: Attitude, Encouragement, Honesty, Integrity, and "It's Not About You." The last phrase is taken from the first line of Rick Warren's book, The Purpose-Driven Life. He did a fantastic job-and even incorporated a bit of scripture.
We hope you enjoy the pictures.

These epitomize Noah. He really is such a happy boy. (Not when he's tired or sick or hungry-but overall.) He has a funny giggle that turns into a belly laugh these days. No teeth yet-but drooling on everthing he can get his hands on. One of his favorites right now is the white "cow" in the pictures that shakes and giggles and plays music.

This is one I made today. I originally took it in color but the picture came out too dark. I tried to lighten it, but it didn't look right either. When I changed it to sepia, I thought it looked very vintage, and I really liked it.

Noah sitting up by himself on Monday. Ryan is so proud!

Here are some pics of Georgia Claire and Noah. They love each other! =) We had a great night together.

This is our newest family "photo op" when we went out with some friends of ours, the McDonnolds. We were at one of my favorite restaurants, Patrizio's, in Plano. It has a beautiful patio with nice trees and twinkling lights (and no mosquitos-perfect!). Amber McDonnold and I used to teach together at Spears last year until she had her baby-Georgia Claire-last spring. She stays home with her cutie pie, so I was really glad to get to spend time with them.

Noah is such a good listener. He loves to listen to books and will sit for fairly long periods of time to "read" with Mommy.

I just love this picture. He looks so pensive! =) What a cutie!

This an older picture of when Mom and Dad came to visit right after Labor Day. Notice our new "Barley" color on our walls? Pottery Barn-Love it!
